Fan Fiction: Safari Zone

Submitted by Jake

Jake grew up in Fuschia City. Most Pokemon trainers started out Pallet Town. When he was 10, he got his trainer's license. All Professor Maple gave him was 3 Pokeballs and 500 dollars. You didn't need to pay for the Safari Zone when you were a first time trainer. Jake was very upset as he trudged through town to the Safari Zone. He met a up with Billy, a kid from school. He already had his trainer's license.

"Hey, Jake!" yelled Billy. "Did you catch anything, loser?"

"No, I bet you didn't either."

"Yeah right, I got a Scyther!"

"Well-wwwwelllll I'll get something."

"Hey Jake before you go catch a wimpy Pokemon, you wanna be rivals?"

"You got it," said Jake.

He trudged on.

When he got there, he showed the man at the front desk his license. He was let in with 15 Safari Balls. You only get 15 if you're new. When he was looking for a Pokemon he felt a bump on his head. He felt egg yolk in his hair. He turned around. More and more eggs flew at him. Exeggute's Barrage attack! It was Exeggute!

"Alright!" Jake said to himself.

He whipped out a Safari Ball and threw it. It bounced off Exeggute's shell.

A Trainer nearby yelled, "Use this."

He threw a small piece of Pokemon food in the shape of an apple. Jake caught it and threw it to Exeggute. The attack stopped. Exeggute went over to the food and started to eat it!

"Now use your Safari Ball to catch it!" yelled the trainer.

Jake threw his 29th Safari Ball. Just as Exeggute finished eating the Safari Ball pulled it in. There was no struggle because Exeggute did not know what had happened. He was instantly caught. Jake ran over to the Trainer. He saw his face. It was Billy!

"Why did you help me?" Jake asked.

"Because I want to fight you and you need a Pokemon to fight," he explained casually.

"Well let's fight!" Jake said.

"Alright, Scyther, go!"

"Exeggute go!"

"Scyther, scramble it!"

Scyther slashed his blade.

"One of Exeggute's eggs cracked open. Exeggute groaned.

Jake tried to think of one of Exeggute's attacks.

"Barrage, now!" commanded Jake.

Exeggute let out many small eggs.

"Scyther counter!"

Scyther turned his blade flat and the eggs bounced off of it and hit Exeggute. Exeggute fell.

"Exeggute!" Jake worried, but he didn't want to lose. Unluckily he was out cold.

Jake called back Exeggute.

"Hey loser," yelled Billy.

"What," Jake asked?

"You'll never catch up to me!"

Jake looked at Exeggute.

"Well Exeggute, we'll get our revenge," Jake said as he walked to the Pokemon Center.
